Our process:
Ranger Creek BBQ sauce began in 1986 of the The Smoke Stack restaurant opening. One day Dot Mabe's neighbor gave a recipe in which Dot & Ray modified to their liking for the restaurant. Ray & Dot named the sauce "The Smoke Stack BBQ Sauce". The sauce was a big hit from the start. The sauce was canned in mason jars which was a slow process and hard to keep up with demand. As they advanced to glass decanters, labels and shrink wrap.
After closing the restaurant, The Mabe family built a commercial kitchen, obtained a food mfg. license and received state and FDA inspection. Now Ray & Dot continue in business by producing the Ranger Creek BBQ Sauce. Now making 4 flavors of sauce: Original sauce, the Medium sauce, Hot sauce and the Tangy sauce (mustard style).
Ray has a delivery route that runs weekly delivering to Ft. Gibson, Muskogee, Wagoner, Coweta, Broken Arrow, Tulsa and Tahlequah. The sauce sales have increased to a new level of production and sales. The Mabe family's prayer is to remain true to “Building on The Rock”, and for Ranger Creek BBQ Sauce to fly off the shelves.
